I am truly grateful to be part of this.

Fluid motion.

What I liked about this movie was the use of motion. The paddles went back and forth and the ball's motion smearing was pretty good. The different ways the paddles confronted each other kept the movie away from monotony. The rain and background were nice touches to the movie, and I think it helped set the tone of the movie.

The choice of audio was good. It wasn't intrusive, but it could still be noticed. It had an eerie feel to it, and without it, the movie would have felt empty.

Unfortunately, it may have been too fast to enjoy comfortably. I would say the paddles should have started off slow, as if it were a more regular game, but quickly escalates to the level of "violence" you show in the movie. The paddles "wiggle" around a lot and stretch and contract frequently, and you could work on making straighter paddles that look and behave as rigid objects, not abstract lines.

Using ping-pong is a good change from generic stickman movies, and I think you should start trying out frame-by-frame animation that goes "beyond" stickmen. Well done.

thanks for the review :D

Fun to watch

It's entertaining to see what'll be drawn every time I click that thingy in the corner. The graphics are nice, it would be a little better if you used more colour and less 90 and 45 degree angles. Your sword drawing was interesting, maybe you could make more animated drawings like that one.

Strangely, the music doesn't loop, you should work on that. You also need to work on a better UI, with a back button and a selection, if you decide to include a lot.

Work on it.

That could motivate a planet.

I liked what you did with how the man changed as he moved through periods of time, but it gets a bit boring when you realize that the movie follows the same general format. It would help if there was more camera movement around the man.

Hope you win that contest, whatever the hell it is.

i will let you know in december of 2011 how the contest pans out! :D

what kinds of camera movements would you suggest?

Shut up, Speakonia!

Six is for the content, just a little work on the audio would work. I'm sick and tired of listening to the same computerized voice used with Clocks.

0/5, Real audio helps.

Dimanti-San responds:

Srry, but I only use it because I don't have any means of recording ATM.

I'd love to see this in HD

That was truly amazing. It just mezmerizes me just to watch the loading screen.

Better yet, add a fullscreen button so people can watch it better.

5/5, GREAT JOB!

IRONY!

That was great. The fact that this had to survive the portal is kind of ironic. It sort of reminds me of eBaum's World, too.

Enjoyable.

That was okay. The only problem I had was visibility. Really hard to see what was happening, so try to make the text denser. An animation like that was just motion tweens with text movie clips. If you ever decide to make another one, I recommend you try watching jmtb02's ASCII animation, Artext.

It was moderately funny for a reason, so I like it more.
3/5

Will need some work...

It was okay, the keyframing was kind of weird(ie, the hand was moving slow, but she gets pushed over hard). For a first Flash, this is kind of good, which makes the 3 review stars.

Also, to add sound, first, do FILE>Import..., find the sound file(s) you want(sounds should come in .mp3, .m4a or .ogg are tiny with great quality), then open up the MEDIA LIBRARY. Finding it should be common sense. Then, drag the appropriate sound file to the frame you want to start it at.

Maybe a higher framerate than (what I think is) 12, maybe 20 or 24 or 30, idk.

1/5, at least deserves something better than 0

Closer zoom could help

The thing was okay, it just needed some better animations when the sticks run, cuz they seem to 'slide' every step. Other than that, it was good.

Cuntarell.
